Assassin Guide

You can use the guide in this website get information on the assassin job change quest and their skills.
http://irowiki.org/wiki/Assassin

Builds

I can only think of about 5 main builds for the assassin: Dagger Build, Equipment Critical, Natural Critical, Sonic Blow, and Grimtooth Build.

Dagger Build:

Equipment
-Daggers: Will depend on the place you want to train. Generaly an elemental or powerful dagger in the right hand and a damage modifier in the left hand.
-Armor: I would recommend a Hard(Pupa card) Chain Mail or a Hard Theif Clothes.
-Garment: Mocking(Whisper card) Manteau for low Flee and Immune(Raydric card) Manteau for high Flee.
-Footgear: I always recommend Green(Martyr card) Boots for the AGI assassin class.
-Headgear(s): Spiky band is a good top headgear for defense but if you need stats: Ghost Bandana, Solar God Helm, and Hot Blooded Bandana are good too. As for the middle headgear, i would recommend a deviruchi card in a slotted sunglasses.
-Shield: Generaly not needed for assassins
-Accessary: Anything that give STR or AGI

Stats (these are just average, the final result is yours to decide)
-STR: 70-110~
-AGI: 80-120~
-VIT: 20-40~
-INT: 1-5~
-DEX: 30-70~
-LUK: 1-1~

Equipment Critical Build:

Equipment
-Katar: Triple Critical Jur or Double Critical Slicing Jur(for those who make the assassin combo).
-Accessary: Rosary of Counter (Kobold card)

Stats (these are just average, the final result is yours to decide)
-STR: 80-110~
-AGI: 80-100~
-VIT: 20-40~
-INT: 1-5~
-DEX: 20-30~
-LUK: 30-40~

Natural Critical Build:

Equipment
-Katar: Infiltrator or Elemental Katar are recommended, Triple critical jur is also good.
-Accessary: Rosary of Counter (Kobold card) or anything giving STR

Stats (these are just average, the final result is yours to decide)
-STR: 80-110~
-AGI: 70-100~
-VIT: 20-40~
-INT: 1-5~
-DEX: 20-30~
-LUK: 60-80~

Sonic Blow Build:

Equipment
-Katar: Infiltrator or Elemental Katar
-Armor: I would recommend a Hard(Pupa card) Chain Mail or a Hard Theif Clothes.
-Garment: Immune(Raydric card) Manteau.
-Footgear: Fledge(Verit card) Boots are very useful for that build.
-Headgear(s): Spiky band is a good top headgear for defense but if you need stats: Solar God Helm, and Hot Blooded Bandana are good too. As for the middle headgear, i would recommend a deviruchi card in a slotted sunglasses.
-Shield: Not needed
-Accessary: Anything giving STR

Stats (these are just average, the final result is yours to decide)
-STR: 100-120~
-AGI: 1-?~
-VIT: 60-80~
-INT: 40-50~
-DEX: 70-80~
-LUK: 1-1~

Grimtooth Build:

Litteraly the same as a Dagger Build but using a Katar instead.

P.S: In most builds, +9 Superior(Antique Firelock card) Boots would be better than martyr but ,considering the price, i did not recommend them.

PVP/WOE
First of all, the gears in PVP and WOE are different than training gears. You'll need equips like an Immune Manteau and a Beret/Poopoo hat to be able to take more damage and survive longer before you kill or get killed.

Assassins are Cloak users. In PVP, you need to use the right skills and to ATK while trying to remain Cloak (atk then cloak right back). Its the most commun strategy with the assassin. You can also go straight ahead and atk your opponent with the massive damage your weapons can give you.

In WOE, an assassin is known as an emp breaker/cracker/destroyer/killer, etc. Assassins aren't meant for defening a castle. Use your Stealth(Cloak) to infiltrate a castle then destroy the emp with your criticals(which pierce through the high defense of the Emperium).

Assassin Cross Guide

This website give information about some Assassin Cross's builds and about their transcendant skills.
http://irowiki.org/wiki/Assassin_Cross

Builds
The Assassin Cross will be able to have the same builds as the Assassin( but more powerful and the equipment might change depending on skills you choose) but the trans skills allow him to have a few more builds.

Soul Destroyer Build:

Equipment
-Weapon:I recommend 2x Double Hurricane(Andre card) Haedonggum, but any weapon of your choice can do.
-Armor: I would recommend a Chain Mail of Ares(Pecopeco card) or a Theif Clothes of Ares.
-Garment: Mocking(Whisper card) Manteau for low Flee and Immune(Raydric card) Manteau for high Flee.
-Footgear: Fledge(Verit card) Boots are very useful for that build.
-Headgear(s): Spiky band is a good top headgear for defense and crown of mistress is good for SP increase. But if you need stats: Solar God Helm, Hot Blooded Bandana and Crown are good too. As for the middle headgear, i would recommend a Willow or Elder Willow card in a slotted sunglasses.
-Shield: Slotted Buckler with a 30% reduction card against the monster you want to train with
-Accessary: Anything giving STR, SP or INT

Stats (these are just average, the final result is yours to decide)
-STR: 50-80+~
-AGI: 1-1~
-VIT: 30-50~
-INT: 100-110~
-DEX: 50-70~
-LUK: 1-1~

Meteor Assault Build:
Very uncommun build but is still a possibility. There is many ways of building a Meteor Assault build depending on what you want to do with it.

Equipment
The equipment for this build will totally depend on your own needs.
Can be equipment for more SP, more STR, more DEX, more atk, more def, etc.

Stats (these are just average, the final result is yours to decide)
-STR: 80-120~
-AGI: 1-?~
-VIT: 40-70~
-INT: 40-80~
-DEX: 30-80~
-LUK: 1-1~

PVP/WOE
Same thing for the Sinx as for the Sin about the gears. You need PVP gears like a Cranial(thara) Buckler for SD Sinx, an Immune, and a Beret/Poopoo hat to be able to resist the enemy in fights.

In PVP, the SinX got an advantage because of his new Soul Destroyer and damage increasing skills like Advance Katar Mastery and Enchant Deadly Poison. The Assassin Cross can either go in a Full SD(Soul Destroyer) build or in a Melee/Hybrid build to kill his opponent. The fact that he can use both powerful melee and ranged atk can help to bring a fast victory.
The use of EDP(Enchant Deadly Poison) isn't needed. But if you are willing to use that skill (which require a Poison Bottle) the victory is almost assured.

In Woe, the SinX can be use for both Defence and Offense. Soul Destroyer is a major advantage for the SinX in defending a castle since that skill its a powerful ranged skill. Even though it take alot of time to cool down, that skill is generaly powerful enough to kill most classes in 1 or 2 shots.
If you want to atk a castle, you can use the same tactics as the assassin to get to the emperium, but when you are there, EDP become very useful as it allow you to break the EMP 4x faster than normal. EDP almost make you able to destroy the emperium in no time with any weapon.

you should always use poopoo and berets, and only immune in gw. in gw, ur flee is somewhat reduce so theres really no point getting flee.

and for nat crit, 2x % card + SS and 1x % card + 2SS are good and sometimes better then infil and element katar depending on ur build.

nice guide btw

Hybrid build? care to elaborate on how a build that does SD and DD/Crit without sucking at both?

Not sarcastic at all just truly curious.

It's the same as any other melee builds, but got less STR and/or AGI to add more INT for SD and be able to use more skills.

Its easy crim..Just make your normal DD build but get lvl 10 SD along with your skills..and if you hit with a quad ancient you should do around 3-4k @_@

Meteor assault lvl 1 is but only as useful as a half working "sight" skill to uncloack players (cant unhide players). If you would've went for a full Meteor assault build with the right equipment, you could easily get some damage going from 1k to 2.5k depending on the defense of the monster/player. Also, at lvl 10, it has a high chance of inflicting status damage (stun, bleeding, blind,...).

1k or 2k seem quite low if we consider the massive damage of soul destroyer, but keep in mind that MA got no casting delay and is splash damage which can get rid of mobs quickly. Another use, if you got a SD build and you want to prevent someone from casting a spell on you but your "aspd" is too slow to do so(canceling his casting by atking him); use MA to atk him faster than melee.

Meteor Assault can be use in many different way but if someone was to make a full MA build, it would probably be for mobbing, more than anything else.

MA is awesome at lvl 10... the status effects pwns ur opponents. I think MA > SD. And if you are a DD sinx, SD is quite useless... MA all the way.

Does Katar Mastery improve Grimtooth's damage? I've been thinking of getting Grimtooth on my DD assassin and go to Rachel Sanctuary to mob, but can't think of a good build. I'm level 75 and I've got 210 flee and 112 hit. Is this enough, or should I reset and turn my 87 (total) STR into DEX and AGI points?
As for the skill build,
Righthand + Lefthand Masteries = 10
Cloaking 10
Enchant Poison 5
Venom Dust 10
Katar Mastery 4 (assuming it doesn't increase the damage of Grimtooth)
Sonic Blow 5
Grimtooth 5

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure Grimtooth is affected by Katar Mastery, but the damage difference isn't all that much anyway...

As for resetting, I'd just keep your sin as he is. You're only level 75, and so RS isn't that great anyway. Just level some more. Try RS at 80 or 85.

it does help.
id recommend sonic blow level 10.
i dont think venom dust is too useful at level 10 .. you only need to do it to poison the target, and they'll definitely be dead (and still poisoned) before the level 10 duration wears off. leave it at 3~5

its such a huge waste to have high str build (DD/GT) and have level 5 sonic blow. sonic blow is one of the best assassin skills. its disappointing that its so unpopular. +50 hit, 10% additional dmg from the skill quest. 800% for just sonic blow, chance to stun.

get 80~110 str. 40~50 total dex, enough agi to dodge the target.
put the rest of the points into whatever you feel needs improvement.

be sure to use cursed arrows. they're the shit.

your flee is fair enough, but ure dex is lacking. you need 145 hit to 100% hit them. Has said before, i'd suggest you stay at soil/hillwind till you get a few more lvls to have more hit/str. get around 135 hit at lvl 80-ish and the rest of the hit required will come when u get more lvls. as for the str, you'll need at least 90 total str (thats a minimum in my opinion). and try to get 110 str at the end.

you're skill build is really .... weird. I can understand you want venom dust, but even lvl 1 venom dust will be enough for what you need. For that purpose, i'd recommmend a final build that would look like that (job 50)
lvl5 right hand mastery
lvl5 left hand mastery
lvl8 katar mastery
lvl10 cloaking
lvl10 sonic blow
lvl5 grimtooth
lvl5 enchant poison
lvl1 venom dust

He meant that they are really good. Just equip 1 curse arrow in ure equips-window and when you will grimtooth (grimtooth only), you'll have a small chance (maybe 10-20%?) of cursing the target.
