(Courtesy of J's format and structure of hunter/sniper guide)

Intro:
Smiths is one of the most versatile classes in this game. Many become famous forgers who make elemental weapons (eg: Washi, RichHobo, Mjonir). Others choose to become deadly battlesmiths that participate in pvp and GW (eg: Silvertokyo, GwaiJai).

Battle Whitesmiths can be an extremely strong offensive force in pvp that deals huge amount of damage in short spam of time. High Speed Cart Ram allows a smith to do elemental attacks with high damage modifiers. Also, the skill works with combat knife and ice pick. So one can switch between different weapons based on the situations. The skill weapon research adds 20hit, which allows the smith to save points from putting in dex. These extra points can then be attributed to vit/agi, making them more durable and efficient. Perhaps, the only down side of this class is...it's expensive.

Some General Leveling Area/Spots/Monsters:
Novice/Novice High:
Poring island
Creamy (one west of Geffen)
Geffen Dungeon 1: Grab a ancient weapon and a priest to support. The Poporings and Poison Spores give wonderous exp.

Merchant/Merchant High:
Geffen Dungeon 1: For those who have a marine sphere clip, use it to mob there until you can use cart revolution. The exp there is great until level 3x~4xish.
Metaling: Located one north of Lhz city.

For those who are willing to spend zeny on using mammolite:
Dark Frames: Use high atk weapon with aspersio
Geffen Dungeon 3: Use Immaterial sword or any high atk weapon with cursed water. Be careful of the Deviruchis

Blacksmith/MasterSmith:
GHP: This place used to be a wonderland for those Agi smith. Equip yourself with a mocking garment and Light Epsilon, and you'll be doing high damage to those undead monsters. Pretty decent exp until lvl7x in my opinion.
Aldebaran Guild Dungeon: This place gives by far the best base exp for smiths if you have decent def and are willing to pot a lot (heal pots and honey). People tend to use hybrid build with high str, medium vit and agi, and 25~30dex. The recommended equips are: tri-insect chain, dokebi/argiope armor, insect buckler, pipe/cigarette.

(I understand that the guide is still lacking in many aspects. I'll be updating it every now and then. Please express any comments and suggestions you have. I hope this will start the discussion and draw interest from people to play this class.)

haha nice guide dennis. I'd suggest you can also firebolt ghc? LOL (its what i did for alch before >.>) Or firebolting soils at louyang field?
You could even try going around in undersea tunnel/byblan island with a wind axe (this is assuming if you are a blacksmith/whitesmith & have the time/willing to spend the time) and poking things? ahaha I used to this to hunt for cards. Decent exp i guess.

Then again..i'm not sure. I'm only a creator with a 60x bs ahaha

Leveling suggestions, mainly for agi smits. Since I have leveled that way for quite a long time during my smith days.

Novice/low level Merchant: Mob wolves with a Blast Clip. You can train a level 1 novice there to level 11 in less than 2 minutes.. >_>; That's assuming that you have access to a Blast Clip.

Low level agi Smith: Isis are one of the best HP/EXP ratio monsters in game. Make use of that ;D The Ancient mummies and Mimics might be a problem, but fly wings solve that with ease. That map has some nice drops too. Glove, S.Circlet, Mummy Card, Martyr Card, 3 Carat Diamonds, etc..

High level agi Smith: I really enjoyed Niffleheim as an agi Blacksmith, you might not level as fast as mobbing Alde GD would do, but it sure is fun. You can reach 1k damage per hit, with nice crits of over 1.5k on the monsters.

The Tamruan in Ayothaya dungeon are nice base exp giving monsters too. But don't go killing them for the Job Exp, since they give almost no job exp at all.

Personally I can't stand seeing Blacksmiths firebolt. ._.;

Haha! Yeah, I don't even know if it's faster than Cart Rev mobbing. I usually mob sandmen from job 40-50, each give around 1k job. 1 soil gives 4k job.. so can a fireblender kill a soil faster than a mobber can kill 4 sandmen O-o? Though, mobbing is more expensive than fireblending ;p

Aldebaran Guild Dungeon:
This place gives by far the best base exp for both blacksmiths and whitesmiths.

Suggested Equipment:
- +7 or higher Bone Helm, Spiky Band, Corsair; or a Sunflower
- Opera Masque
OR
- Phantom Opera Masque + Cigar/ Pipe
OR
- Evil Ear + Cigar/ Pipe (if your str hits bonus [10]

- +7 or higher Peco/ Pupa Chainmail/ Lords Clothes/ Dokebi Armour
- +9/10 Triple Caramel Chain
- +4 or higher Bigfoot Buckler

- +7 or higher Immune Manteau
- +7 or higher Green Boots/ Firelock +9
- Mantis Clip/ Ring (if you are 9x)

Generally, you need a decent amount of defense (I would say 60 is 'enough' - obviously the more the better). Usually people use hybrid of full vit builds:
These are approx. numbers are for lv90+ or final stats; change them accordingly

Hybrid Vit
90-99 str
~55 agi
~65 vit
40 dex

Hybrid Agi
85-99 str
50-60 agi
~50-70 vit
30 dex

Full Vit
90-99 str
~40 agi
70+ vit
30 dex

You need a guild with aldeGD obviously. And you jsut cart revo the crap out of everything you see; increase mob size as you level/ can handle.

Just a helpful tip, I would recommend using meat when u have low vit.

Once your vit is above 20 or 30 then consider switching to orange, since it heal more, help u mob efficiently, and sustain u longer in the map.

I'm sure it's annoying to walk there every time you die. Razz

To clear up some misconceptions about the skill HSCR:

- It carries element based on whatever you're endowed with
- It is aspd dependent
- It only works with atk increasing cards, not +% cards
- It has built-in stunning ability. Status weapons do not work.
- While it does not do damage to people in SW, they can still be stunned

Thus, the best weapon is perhaps a highly upgraded morning star/war axe/2-handed axe carded with andre/zipper bear

Other weapons can also be switched based on situation

Clear up Misconceptions about forging:

you CANNOT buy a NPCed weapon and ask a forger to put VVS or VVS elemental onto the weapon, it has to be done from scratch.
The chances of success are based on the person's luk and dex (stats wise) as well as equipment and the person's LUCK.
