dugtrio. dig= good damage+ with slash and high speed he is a strong force.

Snorlax for sixth! (Body Slam, Amnesia, Rest, Thunderbolt) Has like way more hp than the rest. Amnesia is great since it raises special by 2, and special counts as attack and defense in red/blue I think.
Replace strength with body slam for your dragonite, it's better by a longshot.
Take down is an ugly attack. Imperfect accuracy, not really the greatest in power, and recoil damage.

Problem with dragonite is its still weak to ice

I'd try and slip in Cloyster if you can.

Blastiose! Uhh... Surf, Ice Beam...UMMM Bite and Hydro Pump or Ice Punch/Blizzard somewhere. You can solo the Elite Four with one of these Smile

What a coincidence.

I picked up an emulator about a week ago and I just started playing FireRed.

Although I'm not that big on the "best" team (I usually just pick up a ragtag team and stick with it-the game is pretty easy so you don't need a total hardcore team to win).

Through all the pokemon playthrough's I've ever gone through:

1. Charizard/Equivilent (Flamethrower for STAB, everything else w/e)
2. Vaporeon (Surf, Bubble/Water Pulse)
^ I ALWAYS change evee into vaporeon, not enough cool water pokemon in the game, mangs~ (gyrados is cool, but it has a double weakness to lightnig)
3. Pidgeot/Raticate (Hyper Fang for Raticate OHKO, quick attack for both)
^C'mon, we've all caught one in the beginning. Why not stick to it.

4, 5, or 6 really depend on which version I'm playing. So far I'm rockin' with a charmeleon, evolved-mankey-thing, snorlax, vaporeon, raticate, and a ghastly (so I can lol at the normal/fighting pokemon).

I know I have too many normal-type pokemon. Doesn't really matter when your team is always OP compared to all the trainers, anyways =P

my brother has a lvl 100 one of these can solo 85% of the elite four though this is in diamond LOL hydro cannon ftw Very Happy

jolteon (thunderbolt, thunder, pin missile, thunderwave) *thunder king
arcanine (take down, flamethrower, fire blast, bite) *good speed
dragonite (ice beam, fire blast, hyper beam, fly) *that's a given
hypnos (psychic, hypnosis, dream eater, metromime) *a god
Rhydon (rock slide, earthquake, horn drill, fissure) *Rock pokemon rocks
blastoise (surf, hydro pump, earthquake, seismic toss) *most balanced

I just looked my my team in fire red and this is what I have, (the / between the pokemon are the ones i switch around)

For electric pokemon...
Jolteon is probably my favorite pokemon
High speed + high matk

For an all around fatass pokemon...
Snorlax, the biggest bitch to kill lol, takes forever to kill one and its atk is pretty powerful too

Powerful matk to take down dem bitches aside with above average defense
Hypno/ Gengar , either one is a powerful asset, since of its hypnosis, psychic and dream eater, both have high matk and gengar has high speed.

Powerful atk with above average defense also
Machamp/ hitmonlee/ hitmonchan, Great physical attack strength and defense for Machamp. Hitmonlee has a powerful atk, but low def, hitmonchan is the reverse. All in all, i'd pick machamp, but its up to you lol

Pokemon to slave labour with the HM Fly so you dont needa walk
Dragonite/ charizard, just so you can use fly so you dont needa walk around the whole time LOL . both of these guys are pretty powerful, but imo charizard > all

Water pokemon to fight against fire pokemon?
Gyrados/ kabutops/ omanyte, gyrados is the strongest one here, but has the biggest flaw in it, electric moves, omanyte and kabutops are both resistant to thunder, but fail at grass so.......LOL (You could also put fly on gyrados i think)

wanna know a killer combo that i learned for r/b

toxic does more and more damage over time. if you use an ability that hits multiple times, they will be damaged by toxic in between each hit. wrap is an example of a move that does this, but the very best is teaching charizard toxic.

toxic + firespin = dead

if youre fighting a player and they are being annoying with mewtwo recovering, thats the best way to kill imo

give that a shot

edit: i also know how to dupe items, and get level 255s without a gameshark Smile

@Jolteon, should only have thunder bolt or thunder, but not both
@Arcanine, should only have flamethrower or fire blast, but not both. Take down recoils and misses; body slam is better
@Dragonite, it specializes in attack. Its a shame to use 3 special attacks.
@Rhydon, why have two one-hit-ko moves?
@Blastoise, doesn't need hydro pump with surf already learned or vice versa.

What my team looks like right now:

Gyrados lvl 54 (hydro Pump, Strength, Hyper Beam, blizzard)
Jolteon lvl 56 (thunderwave, thunder, thunderbolt, pin missle)
Aerodactyl lvl 47 (fire blast, fly, bite, toxic)
Exeggutor lvl 52 (phychic, sleep powder, solarbeam, mega drain)
dragonair lvl 51 (surf, thunderwave, icebeam, swift)
scyther lvl 23 (low level crapper I use for cut)

I'm playing a modded version of pokemon red such that elite 4 (and all the gym trainers) are much stronger. The elite 4 have pokemon all <lvl 80. With this team, I pwned them with this team despite their low level.

eh
get rid of the highest level element moves
flamethrower > fireblast
thunderbolt > thunder
ice beam > blizzard
surf > hydro pump

sure, the top levels are strong, but they are by no means reliable
i would also get a pokemon with some sort of confuse power
confuse + paralyze > basically anything

and lose the gyarados @_@ its not a good pokemon
