Do you regularly clean out your computer? Monday was National Clean Out Your Computer Day. So did anyone clean their computer? I like to keep everything. I know some people delete things right away; once I sent someone a file and then he asked me to send it again in 15 minutes since he thought that he wouldn't need it again.

Sorry I wasn't clear; I mean files.

I have a laptop.

By using a condensed air duster i clean out the fan about twice a month. I recommend this to anyone with a laptop... venting is very important for computers!

It only takes me about a minute to do.

EDIT: Oh.. you mean files.. LOL.

About.. once per month? My computer hard drives are very organized. I've got a ton of external hard drives so restoring files is easy.

Why would you ever want to delete something? Decent terabyte drives are only a $100 or so nowadays. They're SOOOO cheap and a couple will last an average person about a year at the very least. Back in my days, my rickety old PC didn't have more than 350MB of space and that was plenty!

And with a proper organization system or something else like a tag-based filesystem, you don't really need to ``clean out'' anything.

D: I don't even have a hundredth of that.

Only once, and that caused many problems, so I never did it again.

And the 2x 2x 2x rates somehow were lost..
Kidding relax, it was the best thing for the server.

I get a new computer or reformat at least once every 2-3 years, so it's no biggie, I don't own a camera nor do i have any attachment to the files/photo's I've saved.
So long as it can play games, and download me bootleg DVD's it's beautiful

I regularly delete things since my external hard drive has a problem with it's power cord so it has to be placed at an angle and I'm too lazy to rig it all up every time I need it (that's what I get for buying a cheap hard drive from a ratty old Asian computer store in Toronto (no offense)).

Besides there isn't much information on my computer worth keeping. I delete shows and movies I download once I see them so I can make room for other stuff...
