AcolyteAcolyte
An Acolyte is a 1-1 class that is known as a support class. With Heal as a primary skill, and many powerful buffs, Acolytes make a difference in the game. Acolytes can be successfully played as a battle class, needing a high base level and good gear. At job level 40 and over, Acolytes are able to job change to either a Priest or Monk. Quest Skill Holy LightAttacks a target from a distance with a holy light. Consumes 15 SP. Has a 2 second casting delay. Deals 125% of the magic attack strength. Requirements:
Where To TrainJob level 1~10: Acolytes continue to kill the same monsters they killed at their Novice stages (porings, pickys, fabres, etc.) because they do not have their Heal skill maxed at level 10. Since Acolytes usually have little or no STR, and are unable to equip the daggers they had as novices, leveling might be slow, but patience is a virtue. Or, the Acolyte may purchase Mace-class weapons from the Nun at Prontera Church. Job level 10~30: After attaining Heal lv 10, an Acolyte can train in the first floor of Payon Dungeon (pay_dun00) by using the Heal skill on the various Undead monsters such as Zombies and Skeletons. If the Acolyte has a tank, he or she could just pound Poporings until job level 25 and then move onto killing hoards of Undead monsters. It is advisable for Acolytes to maximize the Teleport, and Warp Portal skills right after obtaining Heal lv 10. If the Acolyte is able to purchase massive quantities of SP-regeneration items such as Grape Juices or Honeys, the Acolyte could hit job level 30 in a couple of hours, or if not, it would take an entire day's worth of training to reach job level 30. Job level 21~50: If an Acolyte has access to SP-regenerative items, he or she is able to train in Glast Heim Churchyard, informally known as GHC (gl_chyard). Otherwise, the Acolyte would have to wait until the level 10 Heal skill does at least 900~1000 damage per use. In GHC, the Acolyte could use a method known as "Heal Bombing" where the Acolyte uses a Heal on an Undead monster like a "bomb," run back to a safe distance, and repeat. GHC is a great place to train an Acolyte because except for the occasional Mimic or Hunter Fly or the MVP Dark Lord, all monsters can be dispatched by a low level Acolyte. Another area an Acolyte can train in is the Glast Heim Staircase (gl_step). Armed with the Pnuema and Holy Light skills (Holy Light is obtained through a quest), an Acolyte can go around and "kill" Raydric Archers because they are ranged attackers and Pneuma nullifies all ranged attacks. Raydric Archers provide a lot of job experience, but there are also other monsters patrolling the staircase, so an Acolyte would have to have a lot of patience in order to find a lone Raydric Archer.
