Assassin Cross

Assassin Cross
Sprite overview of Assassin Cross

The Assassin Cross or also known as "SinX" is the 2-1 variant of the Assassin class. They specialize in Daggars, some even using two at a time, and Katars. The SinX comes with many powerful new skills, and is a very popular class on Ragnarok Frontier.

New Skills

Advanced Katar Mastery

Raises your attack done by Katars, determined by the Skill's level. This skill stacks with Katar mastery. Prerequisites for AKM are Double Attack level 5, Katar Mastery level. 7

Level Damage Increase
1 12%
2 14%
3 16%
4 18%
5 20%

Create Deadly Poison

Makes a poison bottle. If the skill fails, the user takes 20% HP damage. The prerequisites for CDP are Envenom level 10, Detoxify level 1.
Dex and Luck affect the success chance of this skill working.

  • Formula: Success Rate = 20 + [ (Base Rate * DEX/50) + (Base Rate * LUK/100) ]

Ingredients are required:
  • Berserk Potion : The Tool Dealer Shop in Comodo sells these.
  • Venom Canine : Snakes, Anacondaqs and Sidewinders drop this. They spawn plenty at Moc_fild13 which is four maps east of Morroc or three maps south of Prontera.
  • Cactus Needle : Mukas drop this but only spawn in few locations. The best places to hunt them would be two maps south of Morroc or north east of Morroc (where Peco Pecos spawn).
  • Bee Sting : Dropped by Hornets. They spawn the most at Mistress' map, but can additionally be found two maps east and one north of Geffen where Hornets and Poison Spores can be found.
  • Poison Spore : Dropped by the monster of the same name.
  • Empty Bottle : Dropped by different monsters. It is best to gather them from Mukas so as to be able to harvest two ingredients at once. Goats drop bottles at the highest rate.
  • Karvodailnirol : Only dropped by four monsters and at very low rates. Poison Spores are the easiest to hunt at Pay_fild05. The number of Poison Spores compensate for the 0.03% drop rate of karvos. Lighthalzen Biolabs Lv 1 and Lv 2 offer an alternative with the monsters Remover and Gemini dropping karvos at 0.5% and 1.25% respectively. Another option is the Creator's skill called Cultivate Plant, which at Lv 1 summons red or black mushrooms by chance using one Mushroom Spore. Red mushrooms drop karvos at 0.5%.

Enchant Deadly Poison

This skill uses one deadly poison bottle. Increases the player's damage by a percentage modifier of [(50% * SkillLevel) + 150%]. The prerequisites for EDP is Create Deadly Poison 1.

Enchant Deadly Poison does not change your weapon property to poison.
It also has a chance to inflict a more severe version of the poison status affect, however this poison will not reduce the target to any lower than 1/4th of their maximum HP.
This skill has instant cast with 2 second cool down effect, and lasts for 1 minute at level 5(max). EDP is a self target skill; you cannot enchant another person with EDP.
EDP does NOT affect most skills at an Assassin Cross' disposal. However, it does increase damage for Envenom, Grimtooth, and Sonic Blow.

Level Damage Duration SP cost
1 200% 40 60
2 250% 45 70
3 300% 50 80
4 350% 55 90
5 400% 60 100

Meteor Assault

Attacks enemy(s) within 2 cells of the user with a chance to inflict Stun, Blind or Bleeding. Prerequisites skills for MA are Katar Mastery level 5, Righthand Mastery level 3, Sonic Blow level 5, Soul Destroyer level 1.

The cast time, and cooldown delay can be reduced by DEX. Meteor Assault is only affected by the Right hand element, and +ATK cards. Status effect weapons, equipment breaking effects and %MOD cards do not work with Meteor Assault. This skill is blocked by Safety Wall. It bypasses Magnetic Earth as well as Pneuma.

Soul Destroyer

A ranged skill that is two parts of an attack, one is based on ATK, the other on INT. Prerequisite skills for SD are Double Attack level 5, Cloaking level 3, Envenom level 5, Enchant Poison level 6

The ATK half of the attack CAN miss and will miss if your DEX is insufficient to hit your target. The INT half of the attack will never miss. it is not based on MATK. It is based on INT, point by point. The ATK part of the Soul Destroyer can be reduced by DEF, as well as %MOD cards such as Thara Frog Card in PVP situations. The INT half is NOT reduced by DEF, but it IS reduced by %MOD cards as well. Since Soul Destroyer is not based on MATK, on contrary to belief by some, the Golden Thief Bug card (negates all magic) does not work against Soul Destroyer.

The ATK half of the Soul Destroyer is affected by the RIGHT HAND element, so you can use target elemental weaknesses with Soul Destroyer (IE: Using Immaterial Sword to SD a target who wears Ghostring armor will inflict great damage).
This skill is affected by Ice Pick and Combat Knife.

Dex will reduce the cast time of Soul Destroyer, however there is NOTHING that will reduce the cooldown time (based on level), asides from Bard/Clown's Magic Strings and Kiel Card.

Soul Destroyer's damage is not increased by EDP.

Cards such as hydra that adds % damage does not work for SD, nor does the % boost given from infiltrators and BG Katars. But cards such as Andres that add a definite Atk does work.

Right/Left hand mastery does not work for Soul Destroyer, but damage from katar mastery and advanced katar research does apply (very slightly)

A rough estimate of Soul Destroyer's damage can be calculated as follows:
1) Damage 1 = (Physical Total Damage + Specific Cards (It counts ATK cards such as Andre Card)) * 5
2) Damage 2 = {(Skill LV * Player's INT) * 5} + Random Damage (500 ~ 1000)
3) Soul Breaker Base Damage = (Damage 1 + Damage 2)/2
4) Final Damage = Soul Breaker Base Damage / Enemy DEF + Soul Breaker Base Damage / Enemy MDEF
(taken from ROEmpire)
