Paladins are the advanced variant of the Crusader class.

Overview

The Paladin class is the Advanced Class of the Crusader Job Branch, once becoming a level 99/50 Crusader, you can go to Vallhala and become a novice high, once you reach job level 10 as Novice High, you can visit the swordsmen guild and become a Swordsman High, once you become at least job level 45 as a Swordsmen High (Job Level 50 is recommended), you can go back to Vallhala and talk to the Paladin Npc to become a Paladin, the Strongest of God's Warriors. Paladins gain new skills in addition to their Crusader Skills, such as Rapid Smiting, Battle Chant, and Maytr's Reckoning.

The New Skills

Rapid Smiting: Max Level 5
Required Skills for Rapid Smiting: Guard lvl 5, Smite lvl 3 and Shield Boomerang lvl 5
Rapid Smiting delivers 5 hits with your shield from a distance of 4 cells away, with a bonus +20 to HIT while using the skill, it also ignores size modifications. Like Smite and Shield Boomerang, the heavier and higher refinement of the shield, the greater the damage.

Gloria Domini
Max Level: 5
Required Skills for Gloria Domini: Level 5 Endure as swordman high, Level 5 Faith, Level 5 Guard, and Level 2 Smite.
This skill could be considered the wraith of God itself. it does a fixed amount of damage that will never miss. Nothing can change it, not Energy Coat, not Kyrie Elison, not Pneuma, nothing. Also means Lex Aterna cannot double the damage. in addition to taking off a fixed amount of HP, it will also reduced a % of the oppoents SP. at max level, it will do 2000 HP and 40% of SP worth of damage to the foe. The only way to dodge this attack is to cloak before the skill lands.

Maytr's Reckoning: Max Level: 5
Required Skills: Level 1 Endure as Swordsman High, Level 7 Faith, Level 6 Holy Cross, Level 4 Grand Cross, Level 5 Guard, Level 3 Smite, Level 3 Shield Boomerang, Level 5 Shield Reflect, Level 3 Sacrifice.
A Very dangerous skill, both to the one on the business end of it and the one using it. The once the paladin uses this skill, the next 5 hits become ultra powerful, by sacrifices 9% of the paladin's MAX HP and then multiplies the amount Sacrficed by 1.4 and converts it into damage, it can kill the Paladin if used to much. Basicaly, the more HP the Paladin has, the more damage he will do with this skill. It ALWAYS is a netural attack, anything that can reduce Netural attacks will reduce the damage, also if the Paladin misses (safety wall, Cicida, KE, Etc.) he won't do damage, but will still lose 9% of his hp, in the hands of a master it can stop anyone cold.

Battle Chant: Max Level 10
Required Skills: Level 8 Faith, Level 1 Cure, Level 3 Divine Protection, Level 5 Demon Bane
A fairly strange skill, it effects enemies and allies diffrently. It is a toggle skill, and will drain HP & SP as long as it is active. The Paladin will stop right where his and create a 7x7 area of tiny crosses. if an enemy enters this area, he will get negitive buffs or even damage from the skill every ten seconds while they are in the Battle Chant Area. If this person is an ally, such as a member of the Paladin's Party, they will recevie positive buffs and even heals. The Paladin can't move while using this skill. Also if the Paladin had any Shield skills active, or was stripped by a rouge/stalker, toggling this skill will remove those status. Meaning, if stripped, a Paladin can active BC, turn it off, and re-equip their items
