SwordmanSwordman
The Swordsman is a melee class. They often wield daggers, swords and/or spears. Many Swordsmen will use either a sword or a dagger early on because of the passive skills they have. The advantage of being a Swordsmen is the ability to equip some of the best defensive armor in the game, such as the Full Plate and Shield. The Swordsmen class are also a good class for newbies to be for their first time playing because they are much easier to play with than other first-class characters. The disadvantage of Swordsmen is the inability to use magic effectively and lack of ranged attacks, leaving them at the mercy of those who can evade their attacks. When Swordsmen job change, they can become either the Knight∞ or Crusader∞. Swordsman Job QuestThe place to change jobs to a Swordsman is located in the satellite city of Izlude. EquipmentWeaponsSwordsmen can use Daggers, One-handed Swords, Two-Handed Swords, and Spears. Recommended Equipment are as follows for Daggers:
One-Handed Swords are a balance between speed and damage, and can be used with a shield for excellent defense. The skill Sword Mastery increases the damage of Dagger and One-Handed swords. Recommended Equipment are as follows for One-Handed Swords:
Note: One-Handed Swords users are often setting themselves up to being a Crusader∞ Two-handed swords allow for massive damage, but comes with the sacrifice of the use of a shield. Recommended Equipment are as follows for Two-Handed Swords:
Note: Some advanced players might pump in AGI in preparation for becoming an AGI-knight, two-hand mastery will further increase the damage of this weapons. Those using Two-Handed Swords are often setting themselves up to becoming a Knight∞. Spears come in two types, the One-Handed Spear, and the Two-Handed Spear. These are generally not used by Swordsmen because they do not have a specific "Mastery" skill to increase their damage. These weapons mostly have lower attack speed for not much greater attack. Spears are used by Spear-Knights∞ for their skills, and by AGI-Crusaders∞ for Spear Quicken. Both Knights and Crusaders have Spear Mastery in their skill pool, which increase Spear class-weapon attacks. ArmorSwordsmen can equip the best armor, such as Full Plates, Helms, Iron Cains, Fin Helms. All of this wonderful armor provides the best defense against melee and ranged attacks, but leaves the Swordsman weak against magical attacks. The downside to the best armor is that it is usually very heavy and requires a lot of strength to prevent the swordsmen from going over weight. Also, it's very expensive to afford the best armor, even from an NPC.See AlsoSwordman Skills∞ CategoryCharacter |
